est-ce quelqu'un a déjà volé sur AS24 avant et après modif du profil de bord d'attaque, profil des B ?

Si oui, vous pouvez donner votre avis sur l'efficacité ?

Un article paru dans "Sailplane and gliding" de juin-juillet 2000, parle rapidement de cette modif dans un article "Tackling microturbulence". Voici la partie qui en parle :

 

"The behaviour of the ASW24 in turbulent thermals was a puzzle for the designers. Initially, Professor Loek Boermans, who works at Delft Technical University and designed the aerofoils of both ASW24 and ASW28, assumed that the problem was caused by the 'shoves' the pilot feels when flying in disturbed thermals. These 'shoves' change the angle of attack continuously. Loek Boermans presumed this angle can become so large that this angle can become so large that the airflow separates from the wing. This would increase the drag and with it the rate of sink. In the ASW24B, he tried to diminish the sensitivity to these angle of attack variations by adjusting the shape of the nose of the wing profile. As the ASW24B in practice was not better in turbulent thermals, Boermans hunted for the possible cause.(...)"
