Administrateur Posté(e) le 8 juin 2006 Signaler Posté(e) le 8 juin 2006 The 29th FAI World Gliding Championships at Eskilstuna has begun, andalthough the weather hasn't been the best, there has been some flyingwhich could be followed in real-time with the Silent Wings Viewer(www.silentwings.no) and the vPos (wwww.vpos.no) tracking system. The vPos tracking system consists of a small GPS device that transmitsposition data over the mobile phone network to a central server. Byusing the Silent Wings Viewer to connect to the vPos server, you canwatch the aircraft in real time on your own computer (delayed 15 minutesdue to FAI rules). You can move the camera to any aircraft and anyviewing position. It's like watching a sports event on TV where youcontrol the camera! There are 24 trackers available, and the plan is to equip the best (according to the current standings) pilots from one class with trackerseach day. To watch the races on your own computer, go to the download page onwww.silentwings.no/download and get your copy. (Available for both Windows and Linux) You will also need the Sweden scenery which is available from the sameweb page to watch the live tracking. The viewer is offered for free during the competitions in Sweden, i.euntil June 19. If you are unable to use the Silent Wings viewer you can still watchsnapshots of the tracking in your web browser onhttp://tracking.silentwings.no For more info, go to www.silentwings.no/wgc2006 - The Silent Wings Team Citer Une même passion, 3 sites : http://www.planeur.net - http://www.volavoile.net - http://www.NetCoupe.net
