Just recently SeeYou Mobile 2.1 and SeeYou 2.81 have been released. They include several important new features we would like you to read about in this newsletter.

1. Six languages for SeeYou Mobile

 

SeeYou Mobile can now speak German, Italian, Spanish, Czech and Slovenian in addition to English. This impressive job was done by Lothar, Alex, Giancarlo, Osvaldo and Jiri. They deserve your warmest "thank you" for what they do for you.

 

All you need to do is install the Multilingual version of SeeYou Mobile, then go to Menu > Settings > Units to select your language if it hasn't been selected automatically after the setup.

2. US Sectional Raster Maps

 

New free raster maps are available for the enire area of the United States of America and parts of Canada bordering on USA.

3. New color schemes

 

A new Altitude colors dialog has been added to the Menu > Settings > Map page. It is very similar in function to the SeeYou's Tools > Vector maps dialog.

 

The High Contrast color scheme in particular will bring colors even to your otherwise dull Pocket PC screen. Great for pilots flying in the mountains. We don't want to change your current settings, so you will have to change it yourself manually. Go to Menu > Settings > Map > Alt. Colors > Scheme > High Contrast.

4. Adding, Saving, Editing and Deleting Waypoints and Tasks

 

All of that is possible since version 2.1 of the SeeYou Mobile. Tap or Tap and drag on the screen to bring up the Goto dialog. Then click details. First page shows the details for the waypoint. Use the ">>" and "

 

Use Menu > Add Waypoint to mark a thermal, wave or another noteworthy feature in flight.

5. SeeYou 2.81

 

SeeYou for the PC was upgraded as well. Most important changes are the more stable Mobile Wizard and smaller changes to the SeeYou Competition.

6. Tip of the day

 

Have a look at the new Team feature. Through it you can share your position with other pilots and even encrypt this information so that your competitors won't be able to decode it.

 

To use it:

. Enable the "Team Position Code (Team)" Navbox in Menu > Next > Navboxes.

. Go to the map view and tap on the Team navbox.

. Team dialog opens. You need to press Setup before first use.

. Press Select to select a source waypoint for the calculation

. If you would like to hide the information from others, enter the Encryption key

 

Go fly. When asked about your position, answer "One-Kilo-Bravo-Yankee". Your teammate will tap the Team navbox, enter the code and say "Thanks" while others won't have a clue unless they have the key
